About

Miranda Moll paints at the meeting place of science and wonder. Her background in biology, biodiversity, and geoscience lends her an eye attuned to pattern and process—the quiet choreography of living systems, the pulse of matter in motion. Through her work, she traces the unseen threads that bind all forms of life, from the trembling edges of a cell to the vast architecture of the cosmos. Her paintings and drawings evoke both the precision of observation and the fluidity of dreaming, celebrating the mystery that hums beneath the visible world.

Each piece begins as a conversation between intuition and inquiry. Miranda follows the pull of emotion as readily as the logic of structure, allowing images to surface in their own time. Shapes recur, shift, and return—echoes of earlier explorations reimagined through patience and reflection. Her practice is an act of attentive listening: to the earth, to the imagination, to the spaces between knowing and becoming. For her, art is not an escape from science but its poetic twin—a way of seeing that reveals connection, transformation, and the living continuity between self and world.

Miranda holds the following degrees: Bachelor of Science – Honours in Biology; Master of Science – Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health; Doctor of Philosophy – Geoscience and Biological Sciences (current student
