Miranda lives and creates in Calgary, known as Moh-kins-tsis, Wîchîspa Oyade, Guts-ists’I, and Otos-kwunee by the First Nations and the first caretakers of this land.

 

This land is part of the traditional territories of Treaty 7 peoples. This includes Siksika Nation, Piikani Nation, and Kainai-Blood Tribe Nation, who are members of Siksikaitsitapi, also known as the Blackfoot Confederacy; the peoples of the mountains, known as the Stoney Nakoda Nations, comprised of Chiniki First Nation, Bearspaw First Nation, and Goodstoney First Nation; and Tsuut’ina Nation. The land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
